The short version. We collect what we need to run Warcraft.plus: your account, the characters you connect from Battle.net, and what you write on the site. We do not sell your data or show ads. Analytics only run in full if you accept them.
What we collect
Account: your email, display name, and a password (stored hashed). If you turn on two-factor sign-in, its secret.
Battle.net: with your permission, we read your World of Warcraft profile: your characters, their guilds, gear and progress. We write nothing to your Battle.net account. We keep a sign-in token so we can refresh that data until you disconnect.
Discord: with your permission, we read your Discord ID, name, and email, and we may add you to the community server. We do not read your messages.
What you write: anything you type or choose on the site, such as applications, notes, and preferences.
Account matching: we link the characters that belong to the same Battle.net account, so we can show them together as one player (a PvP main, a PvE main, achievements earned on different characters). We use this to build your history in the game and for nothing else.
Your browser: language and timezone, and a rough country and region worked out from your IP address using a database on our own servers (your IP is not sent to anyone for this). Our servers keep ordinary logs, such as IP address and device type, for security.
Errors: we use an error-reporting service with personal data switched off.
Analytics: a product analytics service helps us see which pages are used. Until you choose on the cookie consent bar, it sets no analytics cookies. If you accept, it sets an analytics cookie so we can recognize your visits. If you decline, it stays cookie-free. These are the only optional cookies.
Essential cookies: the site sets cookies it needs to work, such as the session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects forms. These are always on, are not used for tracking, and are not affected by the cookie bar.
Who sees it. What you choose to share with other people on the site, such as a guild you apply to, is visible to them. Service providers process data for us: hosting, database, error reporting, analytics, email delivery, and the Blizzard and Discord services you connect. We do not sell personal data. We may share it if the law requires.
How long we keep it. While your account exists, unless you ask us to remove it.
Your choices. You can disconnect Battle.net or Discord at any time from the provider's own settings; we then stop refreshing that data and delete the sign-in token. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to send you a copy, by writing to [email protected]. We reply within a reasonable time.
What deletion covers. We delete your account, email, sign-in tokens, and what you wrote. Some things are not only yours, so they stay: game data that comes from Blizzard (a character name on a realm is public game data and can belong to someone else later), and records a guild holds about its own decisions, such as the outcome of an application it received. We remove your name from those where we can.
Export. A copy covers what we hold about your account: your profile, what you wrote, and the characters linked to you at the time. If you have disconnected Battle.net, we can only include what we stored before you did.
Children. Warcraft.plus is not for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Where data is processed. Our providers are mainly in the United States, and your data is processed there.
Changes. We update this page and its date. If a change is meaningful, we will tell you.
